avoid alchohol

get rid of environmental contaminants such as tobacco and chemical cleaners

and let your liver do its job – that why you have it.

I don’t have much baking soda on hand, how much of each should I use for ONE bath?

Answer:

Oh you are so right on this! I take these baths too – they are the best.

You can get away with dumping a whole huge box of Epsom salts into a full tub of water. If you use Epsom, you don’t need the Baking soda. That would be sort of redundant. They are similar.

But to use the soda alone, use the whole box. It should be strong and slightly salty taste to the water.

Think of the ocean, how salty it is.

I was hoping to have porridge but I am not allowed to use milk, just water and honey.

If I cant find anything else I guess i will have to try the water porridge, but the idea sounds hideous to be honest lol

I have lots of fruit in the house though, maybe that could be used as an alternative.

ANy other ideas from people who have done detoxes themselves?

Thanks.
Hi Annou – I am not using any “detox products”, i am omitting meat, wheat and i am trying to live without milk

Answer:

Porridge made with water is fine – it’s what we eat in Scotland – and we put salt in it! We pour milk on top but you could use some of the juice out of tinned fruit. Ot just chop some fruit into it. It’ good for fibre so can add a lot to your diet. Detox is difficult – stick with it but don’t overdo it. The odd wee tasty thing keep you going. If you only have fruit you’ll come off it out of boredom!

I weigh 150 pounds and I’m about 5’3(since how long it take to get out of your system has to do with your body type). I’m also heat-detoxing this weekend. And I walk everyday. And drink tons of water. I also take multivitamins. Can anyone guess about how long it would take?

Answer:

well it depends on how long you have been taking it, if youve been abusing it for months then it will take longer, but if you only took one pill one time then I would say about 3 days, dont bother with the water and the heat detoxing, it doesnt work. Nothing is going to take a drug out of your body, but time.

I often have sleepovers with friends and it’s heaps of fun and everything, but we do eat a lot of junk food and drink a couple of bottles… I do enjoy it but it’s a lot of rubbish i’m consuming and the next day i feel crappy. How and what can I do to cleanse my system and get rid of all the crap?

Answer:

You could drink lots of water the next day – or even start doing that before you go to sleep the same night. Water will cleanse your system, and rehydrate it.

But even better than water, is fresh juices (not bottled or canned juices), which not only hydrate you, but give you heaps of nutrition as well. A juice fast, even for just 1 day, will help your body recover after a binge of junk food and alcohol. It’s like a mini-detox.

Get yourself a juicer, get hooked on juicing, you’ll feel so much better all the time. Lots more benefits of juicing at the link below.
