A few days I had a pounding headache..It was agonizing. Tonight my stomach is in knots and I’m gassy like none other. I don’t know what’s up. Would a detox help get my body get back on track? If so what type of detox should I consider?
Yes, it would eventually, but a detox is going to put you through some crap before you reach the finishline so expect more headaches, gas, and upset stomachs.
I suggest a fresh fruit, fresh veggie, whole grain and water diet.
I’m going to an out of town shopping trip the first day of detox. There aren’t many washrooms were I’m going. Detox ingredients: cayenne powder, lemon juice, maple syrup, water
What can I use to cleanse my colon out with out pills or side effects? and after getting the colon cleansed out will it lower hyertension?
Ive actually had a lot of good experience with http://link.mavnt.com/cpa.php?50482.50907 I got a free sample, and it helped me feel a lot better.
I was having problems going to the washroom, and this helped a lot. I now feel a lot more healthier and cleaner.
Going to a hospital or a rehab clinic is not an option because of money and I refuse to stick her in a state program because she doesn’t want to be alone. The free health clinics will not help her until she is clean. I would like to know what I can give her to alleviate the symptoms of withdrawals? She has been addicted for 2 years.
I’m so sorry to hear of her pain. I’ve had a great number of friends who have done a home-detox and let me tell you: it takes WILLPOWER and strength above anything. First off, pray. This is an often overlooked tool no matter what or whom your higher power is. I know of a guy who prayed to his doorknob to help him open the door to his recovery… and it worked, although he is now working with NA for support.
Anyways, back to the issue at hand:
H2O/water flushes have been reported to help
cranberry juices
exercise
if she has access to a sauna to help “sweat” the chems out, these always help
sleep
try to have a friend nearby for the first week for the ever present DT’s … and really: these will make her demons escape in record numbers so make sure you’re truly supportive before you commit, because she will be rather irritable
deep breathing techniques to chill the nerves
walking
high cardiovascular activities to get the blood “pumping”
I hope these tips/suggestions help. I’ve helped some old friends off substances, so… feel ya. It’s hard to watch your friend hurt themselves, and even harder to watch em kill themselves… but if you’re really into helping her out?
give her a hug. No one gives these out anymore.
Its been about 2 days so far. For the past year, I have taken 40-160 mgs of oxycodone 3-6 days a week, some days up to 320 mgs or more depending on what I can afford. Sober days I usually take 2 eight mg Suboxone. I no longer have access to Suboxone and am not going to rehab.
First of all, as far as your body is concerned, your “sober” days weren’t really sober at all. You were simply substituting one opioid for another opioid (of even higher potency). You are probably looking at at least a few weeks. Oxycodone withdrawal is more sever and short, usually ending within about 7-10 days. Buprenorphine (Suboxone) withdrawal is less severe but lasts longer, normally ending after about 3-4 weeks. If you’re not going to rehab, you should at least consult a doctor who can prescribe several other medications to make you feel much more like yourself. They are non-addictive, and not controlled substances. There is no magic “cure” to make you get through this without having to ride it out, but if you go to a doctor I promise you the trip will be a lot easier.
I’m going cold turkey on junk food (which I’ve been eating alot of lately), but whenever I stop eating it, I get terrible terrible headaches that painkillers won’t get rid of, and junk food cravings. What can I do about this? Don’t suggest cutting down the junk food gradually, that doesn’t help.
just throw them away.
Just wondering. I keep getting headaches, and tension in my neck and shoulders nearly everyday. There is really no reason.
Try working out sessions like running, swimming.
Sweat till you drop exercises.
Do stretching exercises.
Rather than going for detox, I would suggesting working out a lot every single day and refrain from drinking alcohol and eating artificial sugar, not smoking and not doing drugs.
Always eat everything in moderation.
Do yoga and sleep, sit and walk in correct posture.
Stiffness of neck can be associated with stress as well.
I know someone who has a problem with hydrocodomes and hates going through detoxing and gets really sick. Will the drink help them? Or is it temporary for piss testing.
all detox drinks do is waste your money.
the only thing that helps opiate detox is suboxone.
btw, drinking a detox drink to pass a drug test only works because it does the same thing water does: dilutes your piss.
I have been eating rubbish for the past month, which has resulted in me putting on about 8 pounds, spotty skin and just generally feeling sluggish and bloated. I really feel like I need to have some kind of detox, but i have never one before. Is it just a case of drinking lots of water and not eating anything else apart from fruit and veg? Is this healthy and ok to do?
only fruit&veg for 10 days? Hm… I’m vegetarian, nearly a vegan myself, but, depends what you mean by “vegs”. If you eat only those greeny juicy vegetables like lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes, apart form fruit, may be this won’t be the BEST idea. Or if you really do it, try to do it at a time when you;ll spend only at home and won’t spend energy on work, stress, working out etc. You should be only at home, at a safe place, and not risk getting over tired,, However, if you eat also rice and potatoes, beans and lentils and fruit like bananas, not only apples, for example, sure why not? Beans, peas, lentils will give you the needed proteine, fruit has lots of sugar in it, so you won’t suffer low blood sugar, all this is full of vitamins. Especially oranges. You might include some nuts like peanuts for protein and walnuts for vegetable fats. Or sunflower seeds, they also have a lot of vitamin C. So do pumpkin seeds.
If you include all these things, you’ll be really healthy.
